AUSTRALIAN comedian Luke Kidgell was almost bought to his knees by a priceless (literally) encounter with a proud supermarket worker from Scotland.
Kidgell was on tour from his native Melbourne and performing in the Glee Club in Glasgow when he asked the audience ‘who has the coolest job?’
One plucky girl gave the loudest shout, explaining in a thick Scottish brogue to the comedian exactly what Big Tesco is.
It soon materialised that the audience member was the one who puts the yellow reduced stickers on to the products, proudly extolling ‘That’s all me baby’ to which the audience and Kidgell erupted into laughter.
Kidgell congratulated the woman by stating ‘You are doing God’s work’ and praising her by saying ‘I have never met a supermarket worker as passionate as you are’.
Amazingly the comedian then further asked if anyone else worked at Big Tesco only to discover that yet another audience member also worked there and also was in charge of the yellow reduced stickers.
