STRUGGLING to ski to work in the morning, or worried your dog is not watching enough TV?
Fear not, the latest inventions on show at the CES exhibition in Las Vegas last week mean these growing concerns could soon be a thing of a past.
The huge tech conference attracts the biggest names in the business as well as hundreds of innovators looking to kickstart their products.
And while some do fit into the ‘why didn’t I think of that, that’s really clever and useful’ category, a fair few don’t.
The Skyted mask, which allows users to hold private conversations on their phone without anyone hearing them, is a tricky one.
Yes, users can ‘join the silent revolution’ by wearing the device in public.
But, not only will you look like you are still overwhelmed by a paralysing fear of Covid, the sheer size of the £250 device will attract far more attention than a call might otherwise do.
Maybe just find a quiet corner for that all-important chat instead?
One offering that may not be clever or useful but just pure fun, is the electric urban skis, as reported by The Times.
The Skwheel is basically a pair of skis with a wheel on either end, capable of hitting speeds of around 50mph and covering 20 miles on a two hour charge. And all for just £1,500.
The makers promise urban adventurers that ‘Every day’s a ski day. no snow required’.
Unfortunately due to UK laws, a huge private estate with your own long winding roads may be though.
If you prefer to kick back and get your adrenaline virtually, why not do it in luxury with this £2,500 gaming chair?
Razer has teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana to release this modern throne for kings and queens of Fortnite.
And it’s so popular that you may have to head to eBay to get one as they’ve all sold out.
More fashion/tech mergers were on show with these earrings that play music, which had some at Swift Half considering getting their ears pierced.
Made from real pearls, the NOVA H1 Audio Earrings are designed so only you can hear what’s playing on them.
Perfect for when you want to look glamorous while ignoring everyone around you and subtly shuffle to your favourite tunes.
Not great if you don’t want to look a slightly mad duchess.
And if you’re worried about your dog looking glamorous too then perhaps you should splash out on XidoPet’s robot bath.
Imagine a car wash for your pooch that carefully weighs them and checks their blood pressure while giving them a spa treatment they’ll never forget, possibly due for the wrong reasons, and you are not far off.
And if that’s not enough to send your mutt mad, a South Korean company has created Dogsplay, which allows your pet to watch TV, stare longingly at pictures of you together all day long or even stay in touch via video chats when you go out.
Sounds daft? That’s what their marketeers thought and so made sure you remember that ‘One year for us is seven years for them, and vacating the house for ten hours can feel like three days’.
Unfortunately only dogs in South Korea can enjoy it at the moment.
In the meantime, we suggest a ball and a bone. Or maybe some electric skis…
