PARTYING in the kitchen is coming back in fashion at one of London’s latest and greatest nightclubs thanks to rapper Stormzy.
The seven-storey superclub on Poland Street in London’s West End features a kitchen, garage and bedrooms with a different DJ in every room.
Guests drink out of plastic red cups and the drinks are pretty reasonable at £5 for a glass of wine, plus there is beer pong, Jenga, table football and even a tattoo artist in the bedroom.
There is even a roof terrace with fake weed plants growing and a smoke machine pumping to create a ‘hotbox’ illusion.
“I’ve always loved the energy of a classic house party — it’s where the best memories are made. We wanted to create a nostalgic experience where everyone is welcome, and no two nights are the same,” Stormzy told the Standard.
“We all know everyone wants to go to a house party, nobody really wants to host one — and this is exactly what this house is for.”
Alongside the N64s and karaoke machines, punters will also find paid actors roleplaying family members including gran chilling out in the bath.
Thankfully though Buckfast, K Cider and Mad Dog 20/20 drinks will not be on the menu. Instead these vintage tipples have been eschewed for a more modern line-up including Dark n’ Stormys and Margaritas.
Considering the gaff is being run by one of the UK’s top rap acts you can rest assured that the music is bang on point. The rotation will include big name ‘headliners’ taking it back to their roots to ‘once again become bedroom DJs‘, but if the vibe isn’t quite right for you then there is also the chance to ‘pass the aux’ and spin your own tunes if you dare.
