IT’S probably not the be all and end all when it comes to choosing a place to live.
But we can’t think of a more important factor than the quality and number of pubs on your doorstep when choosing where to call home.
And for that reason Swift Half suggests you join us in moving to Liverpool ASAP.
The city has been named as the UK location with the most boozers for its size, with a thirst-quenchingly good 11 to be found per square mile.
Lucky Scousers and people who have wisely moved there have some 477 pubs to enjoy.
It means it pipped Brighton and Hove (Swift Half’s home town.) to second spot.
The South Coast city also has 11 per square mile, but ‘just’ 340 overall, the vital study by Liberty Games found.
In third place was last year’s winner Portsmouth, which still has an impressive ten.
Completing the top ten were Norwich, Bristol, Dundee, Nottingham, Oxford, which includes one of the ‘top nine pubs in the world,ย Dudley and Southampton.
Liberty analysed the addresses of more than 50,000 watering holes across 350 UK boroughs to find the highest ‘pub density’.
London had by far the highest number overall, with 4,441 – including this Brewdog behemoth which was the victim of a hilarious review.
But the capital could only rank 13thย in the density table with just seven per square mile.
Of course there may be other reasons for choosing where to relocate to.
If they include where in the world can you find the cheapest pint, then hopefully our handy guide can help you.
